Satirah’s Tip

Buy your tickets before your trip.

This is one of the most popular Christmas shows in Branson, and both the morning and evening performances sell out.

Maybe not quite as quickly as The Haygoods or Sight & Sound, but I would absolutely NOT plan on walking up to the box office once you get to Branson and expecting to get tickets.

Grab them in advance, use my discount, and then you don’t have to worry about it.

What Makes the Hughes Brothers Christmas Show Different?

For one thing, it’s actually Christmas for the entire show.

That probably sounds like a ridiculous thing to point out about a Christmas show, but if you’ve seen many Christmas shows in Branson, you know why I’m saying it. 😂

A lot of shows give you their regular production for the first half and then switch over to Christmas.

Not here.

Every single song is Christmas.

The show changes every year, so the exact numbers and moments will change too. But one of the things I remember was a precious moment where one of the brothers brought all of the family’s kids onto the stage and read them a Christmas-themed book.

That gives you a pretty good idea of what this show feels like. It’s clean, wholesome and very family-centered.

Who Would I Recommend This Show To?

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this show to everybody, but there are certain people I would send here in a heartbeat.

I could absolutely see myself taking my granddaughter someday. I’d recommend it to older couples, church groups, multi-generational families and especially grandmas bringing their granddaughters or nieces to Branson for Christmas.

My daughter would have loved the dancing and fancy dresses when she was little.

My son? Well, this would not have been his favorite. 😂

This probably wouldn’t be my first pick for a Friday night date with just my husband and me either.

But that’s the thing about Branson shows. Not every show needs to be for every person.

If you love traditional Christmas music, singing, dancing, beautiful gowns and a big wholesome family production, I can completely understand why people LOVE this show.

Is the Hughes Brothers Dinner Worth It?

The food is decent, and it’s incredibly convenient.

If you’re already seeing the show and don’t want to squeeze another restaurant into your day, I think it’s worth it.

FAQs About the Hughes Brothers Christmas Show

What should I wear to the Hughes Brothers Christmas Show?

Whatever you’re comfortable wearing.

Branson is a vacation town. I’ve seen people walk into this theater in T-shirts and flip-flops, and I’ve seen people in nice suits and dresses.

Most people are going to land somewhere in the middle with jeans and a nice shirt.

How early should I arrive?

Get there a few minutes early so you have time to park and get inside, but parking here isn’t as crazy as it can be at some of Branson’s other theaters.

Does the Hughes Brothers Christmas Show have an intermission?

Yes.

The show is around two hours, but with the intermission and getting in and out of the theater, I would plan on being there about 2½–3 hours.
