Fall in Branson, Missouri 2026: Everything You Need to Know

Fall is my favorite time of year in Branson, Missouri, and there is a LOT happening around town! From Silver Dollar City’s huge Harvest Festival to pumpkin patches, local farms and smaller fall festivals, these are the fall experiences I think are worth putting on your list.

Silver Dollar City Harvest Festival

2026 Dates: September 11–October 31

If you only do one fall event in Branson, this is the one. If I could only visit Silver Dollar City once a year, I’d choose Harvest Festival over Christmas. I said what I said, and I stand by it! You still get the rides, shows, craftsmen and food Silver Dollar City is known for, plus visiting artisans, seasonal food and more than 20,000 pumpkins throughout the park. Pumpkin Nights begins September 18, so whatever you do, don’t leave before dark!

Shepherd of the Hills PumpkinFest

2026 Dates: September 12–October 31

PumpkinFest at Shepherd of the Hills is a great one for families, with more than 30 fall activities including hayrides, a jump pad, mini golf, barnyard animals, slides and plenty of places for those fall pictures. Pumpkins Aglow was added last year, and this year they’re adding a brand-new Sleepy Hollow show. Just remember that some of the bigger Shepherd attractions and certain activities are separate or require an upgraded ticket.

Sycamore Creek Fall Roundup

2026 Dates: Weekends October 3–November 1

Sycamore Creek’s Fall Roundup is one of Branson’s hidden fall gems. You’ll find a corn maze, hayrides, pumpkins, barnyard animals, a jump pad, giant slide, fire pits, hot cocoa, apple cider slushies and plenty of room to slow down and enjoy being outside. It’s much more relaxed than some of Branson’s bigger attractions, and that’s exactly what I like about it.

McKenna Family Farm

2026 Fall Season: Late September through early November

If you’re looking for a real pumpkin patch, McKenna Family Farm is the one I’d put on your list. They generally open toward the end of September and will run through the beginning of November this year. This is truly a family farm that sold great produce and has become a local attraction. It isn’t fancy. It isn’t flashy. That’s exactly what makes it so precious! You’ll find pumpkins, beautiful mums, produce and sometimes baked goods, plus old trucks and tractors that make fantastic spots for family pictures.

Lera Family Farms

2026 Fall Season: September through early November

Lera Family Farms is one of my favorite affordable options for families. It’s free to visit the farm, grab something to eat or shop, and the Family Fun Area is inexpensive. There are several food vendors, a playground, farm animals and a little barrel train, with additional activities and special events during the fall. It’s simple, affordable and a great place to spend a couple of hours.

Cedar Fest at Big Cedar Lodge

2026 Dates: Saturdays in October, October 3–31

I already love Big Cedar in the fall, so Cedar Fest just gives me another excuse to go out there! Cedar Fest isn’t one single event. It’s a collection of different fall activities happening around the property, including tram rides, pumpkin decorating, inflatables, face painting, tie-dye, pottery painting and the big slide. It’s open to the public, so you don’t have to be staying at Big Cedar to go.

Downtown Branson Fall Festival

2026 Dates: September 25–26

I probably spend more time in downtown Branson than the average visitor does, and fall is one of my favorite times to wander around down there. During the Downtown Fall Festival, you’ll find local shopping, sidewalk sales, store specials, fall photo spots, strolling musicians, face painting, cider and other activities happening around downtown. Grab lunch, do a little shopping and make an afternoon of it!

Halloween in Branson

Halloween has never really been Branson’s thing. Truth be told, it’s not really mine either. 😂 But if Halloween is your favorite holiday, you do you, boo! There are haunted attractions, ghost tours and other Halloween events around town, while Silver Dollar City’s Harvest Festival is my pick if you want something family-friendly rather than scary. I’ve put all of those options together in a separate guide.

When is the best time to visit Branson for fall events?

If the events are what you’re coming for, October gives you the most choices. Silver Dollar City’s Harvest Festival and Shepherd of the Hills PumpkinFest are both underway, Cedar Fest happens on Saturdays, Sycamore Creek’s Fall Roundup is running on weekends, and several smaller events happen throughout the month. October can also be BUSY, especially around Fall Break, so take a look at my crowd calendar before choosing your dates.

When do the leaves change in Branson, Missouri?

The exact timing changes every year depending on the weather, so don’t plan your entire trip around one supposed “peak” date. I have a complete guide explaining when the leaves typically start changing, when I watch for the best color and my favorite places to see them.

Where should I stay for a fall trip to Branson?

That depends on what you’re planning to do. Someone spending most of the trip at Silver Dollar City may want to stay somewhere completely different from someone planning around Big Cedar, Table Rock Lake or downtown Branson. Coming in Early November?

Branson goes from pumpkins to Christmas lights FAST! Silver Dollar City’s An Old Time Christmas begins November 7, 2026, and that’s about the time the whole town starts feeling like Christmas.

So if you’re coming right at the end of fall, you may actually get a little bit of both seasons.
