If you’ve never seen The Duttons, the first thing you need to know is that this family is ridiculously talented.
There are a lot of talented families in Branson, but musically, I think The Duttons are one of the most talented families in town. At some point, I gave up trying to keep track of how many different instruments they played.
Their Christmas show takes what they normally do and adds Christmas to the second half, which makes this a pretty easy one for me to recommend to families coming to Branson for the holidays.
The Duttons Christmas Show at a Glance
📍 Location: The Dutton Family Theater on Highway 76 in Branson, Missouri
👨👩👧👦 Best For: Families, grandparents, music lovers and multi-generational groups
🎄 Christmas Factor: The first half is regular Duttons. The second half turns Christmas.
🎻 The Big Draw: The MUSIC. Lots of instruments and a seriously talented family.
⏰ Time Needed: Plan around two hours for the show, plus a little extra time before and after.
⭐ My Take: This is one of those standard Branson shows I feel comfortable sending just about anybody to.
Satirah’s Tip
I like sitting closer to the front for this one.
I don’t think there are necessarily bad seats in the theater, but when you have this many people playing this many instruments, I like being close enough to actually watch everything happening onstage.
That means I wouldn’t wait until the last minute to buy your tickets if you care where you sit.
You’ll park behind the theater, and the walk around to the front really isn’t bad. But if Grandma doesn’t love walking, drop her off at the front first.
And after the show, stop next door at Abby’s Tourist Trap.
Yes, that is actually what it’s called. 😂
They have fudge, homemade cobbler, ice cream and $1 cookies. I’ve literally stopped there with my niece just to get cookies and ice cream when we weren’t even seeing a show.
So if you walk out of The Duttons wanting dessert, you know where I’m sending you.
Is The Duttons Christmas Show Worth It?
Yes. Especially if you actually care about the music.
The Duttons have one of those shows that I feel comfortable recommending to almost anybody.
It’s clean. It’s family-friendly. There are multiple generations of the family performing together. And they’re legitimately talented.
They also made the Top 10 on America’s Got Talent, so apparently I’m not the only person who thinks they’re good. 😂
If you’re trying to choose one show that Grandma, Mom and the kids can all go to together, The Duttons are a pretty safe bet.
What Is The Duttons Christmas Show Like?
If you’re wondering whether you’re going to sit down for two straight hours of Christmas music, the answer is no.
The Christmas show I’ve seen was split into two parts. The first half felt much more like the regular Duttons show, and the second half was Christmas.
You get the costumes, Christmas music and all the family stuff, but it still feels like The Duttons.
And I’m not going to give you a giant list of songs or scenes because they change the show. What you see this year may not be exactly what you see next year.
What Makes The Duttons Different?
For me, it’s the instruments.
This feels much more like a music show than some of the big production-style shows you’ll find around Branson.
There are so many people on that stage playing so many different instruments that eventually you just quit keeping track.
One minute somebody is playing one thing, and then they’re playing something else, and then another family member comes out and does something completely different.
If you have someone in your family who plays an instrument or just really appreciates talented musicians, I would put this one pretty high on the list.
Is The Duttons Christmas Show Good for Families?
Absolutely.
I would send the same people to their Christmas show that I would send during the rest of the year. This is just a solid, clean Branson show that works for a huge range of ages.
And when you have three generations trying to agree on what show they’re going to see on vacation, sometimes “everybody will enjoy this” is exactly what you need.

FAQs About The Duttons Christmas Show
Is The Duttons Christmas Show all Christmas music?
No. The Christmas show I’ve seen had the regular Duttons show in the first half, with the Christmas portion in the second half.
The show does change, though, so I wouldn’t get too attached to a particular song or scene before you go.
Where are the best seats for The Duttons?
I personally like being closer to the front.
I don’t think there are bad seats in the theater, but I like being close enough to watch the family play all those different instruments. If you want those closer seats, that’s another reason I’d buy your tickets before your trip instead of waiting until you get to Branson.
Were The Duttons on America’s Got Talent?
Yes! The Duttons competed on America’s Got Talent and made it into the Top 10.
If you’ve never heard of them before coming to Branson, that should give you some idea of the level of musical talent you’re walking into.
