The Best Dog-Friendly Places to Stay in Branson, Missouri (2026 Guide)
Planning a trip to Branson with your dog? Finding the right place to stay isn’t as easy as it used to be.
Over the last few years, more hotels have added weight limits, tightened their pet policies, or stopped allowing pets altogether.
To make it easier, I’ve put together a list of my favorite dog-friendly places to stay in Branson. Some are places I’ve stayed myself, while others have been recommended over and over by Branson Besties. Every place earned a spot for a different reason, whether it’s amazing outdoor spaces, a great location, family-friendly amenities, or a peaceful lakeside setting.
Some of the places in this guide are partners of mine. I only recommend places I’d genuinely stay or confidently recommend to my own friends and family.
Pet policies can vary quite a bit from one property to another. Some have weight limits, some limit the number of dogs, and others have designated pet-friendly rooms. Since policies can change, I always recommend confirming the current pet rules before you book, especially if you’re traveling with a larger dog.
And one last favor from one dog lover to another. Please clean up after your pets and be respectful of the property. The more responsible we are as pet owners, the more likely these places are to continue welcoming our four-legged family members.

Before You Book
A few quick tips that can save you some headaches.
- Confirm the current pet policy before booking, especially if you’re traveling with a larger dog or multiple dogs.
- Ask whether pets can stay in the room unattended if you’re planning to spend the day exploring or catch a show.
- If you’re traveling with a large dog, look for places with actual grassy areas instead of tiny landscaping strips.
- Pack waste bags, food bowls, and a portable water bowl.
- During the summer, remember that parking lots and sidewalks can get extremely hot on your dog’s paws.
The Ozarker Lodge
Best Outdoor Spaces
The Ozarker has quickly become one of my favorite places to stay in Branson, but probably not for the reason you’d expect.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and recently updated, but they’re on the smaller side. The real reason to stay here is everything outside your room.
You’ll find Creekside soaking tubs, a heated pool, fire pits scattered throughout the property, and plenty of places to relax after a day of exploring Branson. The lobby is one of my favorite hangout spots, too. Grab a coffee in the morning, then come back in the evening when that same coffee bar transforms into a full bar.
If you’re traveling with a larger dog, I also appreciate the grassy Creekside areas. It’s a whole lot nicer than those tiny little landscaping strips some hotels call a pet area.
Branson Bestie Tip: The Ozarker frequently runs seasonal promotions, and my code LOVESBRANSON stacks with many of those deals. Just enter the code in the “Special Codes or Rates” box before selecting your dates to see if you can save even more.

The Drift
Best for Fishing & Outdoor Lovers
The Drift is one of my favorite hidden gems around Branson.
What I love most is the variety. Whether you’re looking for a cozy hotel room with a private hot tub, a condo for a family getaway, or an entire house for a big group, they have something for just about everyone.
The location is another huge win. Sitting right on Lake Taneycomo, it’s the perfect place if your idea of a vacation includes fishing, relaxing by the water, or simply getting away from the crowds. It feels tucked away, but you’re still just a short drive from all the attractions in Branson.
One of my favorite things about The Drift is the story behind it. This used to be an old fishing camp, and they’ve completely transformed it into one of the coolest places to stay in the Branson area while still keeping that laid-back lake vibe.
Fun fact: I’m also a commercial real estate agent, and I actually had the opportunity to help sell this property. Watching it transform from an old fishing camp into what it is today has been incredibly rewarding, and it’s probably the lodging property I feel the most personally connected to.
The Drift is also incredibly dog friendly. Just be sure to register your dog before you arrive and use the designated pet relief area during your stay.
Branson Bestie Tip: Use my code DRIFT to save 5% on your stay.

Calm Waters Resort
Best Lakeside Retreat
If your perfect vacation includes drinking coffee while looking out over Table Rock Lake with your dog by your side, Calm Waters is hard to beat.
This hidden gem features adorable A-frame cabins in one of my favorite locations around Branson. You’re right on the lake, just minutes from Silver Dollar City, but it still feels peaceful and tucked away.
The owners are absolutely delightful, and it’s one of those places that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your surroundings.

Sweet Adventures
Best Cabin Rental for Groups
If you’re traveling with a larger family or group, Sweet Adventures has one of the largest selections of pet-friendly cabins I’ve found in the Branson area.
Not every cabin is pet friendly, and each one has its own pet policy, so be sure to check the details before booking. But if you need more room than a traditional hotel can offer, this is one of my favorite options.

Hilton Promenade
Best Walkable Stay
If you want to park your car and explore Branson on foot, this is my top pick.
One of my favorite things about staying here is walking Branson Landing with the dogs. You’ll be steps away from restaurants, shopping, the lakefront boardwalk, and the famous fountain show. Several shops welcome well-behaved pups, and many of the restaurants offer pet-friendly patios.

Westgate Branson Woods Resort
Best Family Resort
If you’re traveling with kids and a dog, Westgate Branson Woods is one of the most complete resorts in Branson.
Instead of feeling like a typical hotel, this property sits on more than 145 wooded acres with walking trails, playgrounds, a miniature golf course, multiple pools, basketball and volleyball courts, and plenty of open space to explore. You can choose from traditional hotel rooms, studios, cabins, and larger villas depending on the size of your group.
One thing I especially like is that you don’t feel boxed into a parking lot. There are plenty of places to get outside with your dog, and the wooded setting makes it feel much more relaxing than staying along the busy Highway 76 strip.
If you’re planning a longer family vacation and want resort-style amenities without giving up a pet-friendly stay, Westgate is definitely worth considering.
Branson Bestie Tip: Westgate is a timeshare resort, so don’t be surprised if you’re invited to attend a timeshare presentation during your stay. My advice? Politely decline and enjoy your vacation instead. Your vacation time is valuable, and there are much better ways to spend it. If you’re looking for discounted Branson show tickets or attraction tickets without sitting through a presentation, I’ve got you covered.

Homestead Motel
Best Budget-Friendly Motel
Don’t let the word “motel” fool you.
The Homestead Motel has become a favorite among travelers looking for a clean, affordable place to stay without sacrificing hospitality. It’s family-owned, well maintained, and consistently earns great reviews from guests who appreciate friendly service and comfortable rooms.
Its location puts you close to many of Branson’s attractions while still offering a quieter atmosphere than some of the larger hotels.

La Quinta Inn & Suites
Best Budget-Friendly Hotel
La Quinta has long been one of the most popular choices for travelers bringing their dogs to Branson.
The rooms are comfortable, the location is convenient, and because La Quinta is a national brand, many travelers already know what to expect. If you’re looking for a dependable hotel at a reasonable price, it’s a solid option.
Keep in mind that pet-friendly rooms may be limited, so it’s always a good idea to reserve early if you’re traveling during busy seasons.

Angler’s Lodge
Best Value Near Big Cedar
If you’ve always wanted to experience Big Cedar but don’t necessarily want to pay Big Cedar prices, Angler’s Lodge is worth a look.
Located in Hollister, just a few minutes south of Branson, this Bass Pro Shops property offers a comfortable stay with many of the same outdoor-inspired touches Big Cedar is known for. Guests consistently rave about the clean rooms, friendly staff, complimentary breakfast, and the on-site Tall Tales Bar & Grill. There’s also an indoor pool and hot tub, making it a great place to unwind after a day of exploring.
One of the biggest advantages is the location. You’re just minutes from historic Downtown Hollister, Big Cedar Lodge, Top of the Rock, and only a short drive from Branson’s attractions. It’s a great home base if you want to experience both Hollister and Branson during your trip.
If you’re bringing your pup, Angler’s Lodge welcomes dogs and even has a designated pet area, making it an easy choice for travelers who don’t want to leave their four-legged family member behind.

The Embers
Best Glamping Experience
If you’ve ever wanted to try glamping without giving up modern comforts, The Embers is one of the most unique places to stay near Branson.
Instead of a traditional hotel room, you’ll stay in beautifully designed luxury tents that include comfortable beds, private bathrooms, climate control, and outdoor spaces where you can relax under the stars. It’s the perfect mix of camping and a boutique hotel.
Dogs are welcome, making it a fun option if you and your pup enjoy spending time outdoors but still appreciate a comfortable place to sleep at night.
Branson Bestie Tip: Use my code TENT to save 5% on your stay.
