Best Breakfast in Branson, Missouri: Where I’d Actually Send My Branson Besties

The Only Breakfast Buffet I Personally Recommend

If you’re staying at Big Cedar, Tall Timbers Camp Resort, or anywhere on the south side of Branson, Devil’s Pool is absolutely worth the drive.

In fact, the drive is part of the experience.

Winding roads through the Ozarks.

Towering trees.

Beautiful overlooks.

It feels like you’ve left Branson behind for a while.

This is the only breakfast buffet I personally recommend.

It isn’t the biggest buffet in town, but I’d rather have a smaller buffet with really good food than fifty mediocre options.

My husband heads straight for the made-to-order omelet station.

I’m making a beeline for the chocolate croissants.

If the weather’s nice, grab a table on the patio. And if you’re on vacation, nobody’s judging if you order a mimosa or put a little Baileys in your coffee.

If you’re staying on the Strip or near Silver Dollar City, I probably wouldn’t make the drive just for breakfast.

But if you’re already in this part of town, it’s a fantastic way to start the day.

Branson Café

My Favorite Classic Branson Breakfast

If you’re looking for a classic diner breakfast, Branson Café gets my vote.

A lot of visitors automatically head across the street to Farmhouse.

Me?

I’m walking into Branson Café.

The food is just as good, and in my experience, the wait usually isn’t quite as long.

My order is easy.

One of their giant cinnamon rolls with a side of bacon.

That little splash of coffee they add to the icing is what makes it so memorable.

My husband usually orders an omelet.

My daughter loves the chicken and waffles.

If you’re looking for trendy brunch food, this probably isn’t your place.

But if you want a hearty, old-school breakfast before exploring Historic Downtown Branson, I don’t think you can go wrong.

Billy Gail’s

The Branson Breakfast Everyone Talks About

Billy Gail’s is probably the most talked-about breakfast restaurant in Branson.

And yes…

It deserves to be on this list.

The giant pancakes.

Massive cinnamon rolls.

Airplanes, boats, and race cars hanging from the ceiling.

Kids absolutely love it.

Personally, I prefer the original location, although the staff at the newer location has always been incredibly sweet.

The biggest thing I want you to know is this.

The wait isn’t just a busy weekend problem.

It’s an almost every day problem.

If waiting in line is going to put you in a bad mood before breakfast, I’d probably send you somewhere else.

Not because Billy Gail’s isn’t good.

Because I think there are several restaurants in Branson that deserve just as much attention.

If you’re heading to Silver Dollar City, though, the original location is still one of my favorite places to stop before the park.

Paul’s Breakfast House

Looking for a Little Nostalgia?

Paul’s Breakfast House is one of Branson’s newest breakfast spots, so I’ve only eaten here once.

But it made enough of an impression to earn a spot on this list.

Honestly…

The food wasn’t even my favorite part.

It was the nostalgia.

Neon everywhere.

’80s movies playing on the TVs.

Duran Duran on the speakers.

I felt like I’d walked into my childhood.

The portions are impressive too. My husband and I could have easily shared one of the skillets or one of the omelets and still walked away full.

If you’re looking for trendy brunch food, I’d probably send you somewhere else.

But if you grew up in the ‘80s or you’re looking for a fun family breakfast with huge portions, I think you’ll have a great time here.

Bonus Recommendation: Hungry Hunter

I’m going to throw in one bonus recommendation.

Hungry Hunter

This is probably the one restaurant on this list where my opinion differs from a lot of locals.

People absolutely love this place.

They’re known for their stuffed hash browns, and there’s almost always a line.

For me, though, I usually gravitate toward breakfast that’s a little more creative and packed with flavors I can’t easily make at home.

Hungry Hunter leans more toward a hearty country breakfast.

That doesn’t make it bad.

It just means our tastes might be different.

And that’s okay.
