Walker’s is in a league all its own.

Zombie theme. Walking tacos. A wheel that might make you eat a scorpion. An owner who’s just as entertaining as the restaurant itself.

There is absolutely nothing else like it in Branson.

If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, zombies, or just plain weird stuff, this place belongs on your Branson bucket list. They even named the restaurant after the “walkers” from the TV show.

This is one place where you never know what’s gonna happen.

The owner is always wildin’ out, and if you’ve seen their social media, you already know exactly what I’m talking about. If you walk in there acting a fool, don’t be surprised if you end up on their Facebook page.

Here’s What I’d Order

If you don’t know what a walking taco is… have you been living under a rock?

It’s a bag of chips with the top cut off, loaded with taco toppings. They crush the chips up a little, hand you a fork, and you’re ready to wander around Historic Downtown Branson while you eat.

My go-to is a Doritos walking taco with beef.

Every once in a while, I’ll get in a crazy mood and order the Cool Ranch Doritos with chicken instead.

If you’re downtown for breakfast, don’t overlook the breakfast burritos. They’re another solid option.

One thing I also love is that they offer different portion sizes. If you’re just looking for a snack between shopping stops, grab one of the smaller bags. If you’re ready for lunch or dinner, they’ve got bigger portions too. It’s one of the more affordable places to eat in downtown Branson.

Before You Go

Don’t expect a big dining room.

There’s barely enough room inside to place your order because the whole idea is to grab your food and head back out to explore Historic Downtown Branson.

Then there’s the Mutation Station.

You spin a wheel, and whatever it lands on… you’ve gotta eat.

Scorpions. Ants. Brains. All kinds of bizarre things.

When I spun it, I landed on the space where they got to decide what I ate.

They blindfolded me…

…and fed me a fried turkey testicle.

Yes.

You read that correctly.

Kids and teenagers absolutely love the Mutation Station. Me? I think I’ll let them do the spinning from now on.

One of the funniest promotions they run from time to time is Bring Your Own Container. My husband carried in a popcorn bucket one day, and they filled the whole thing with nachos. I’ve seen people bring in some ridiculous stuff. I swear somebody even brought in a kiddie pool once.

This isn’t where you take your fancy rich auntie.

This is where you take the people who know how to have fun.
