If you ask me where to meet a girlfriend for lunch or coffee, Sugar Leaf Bakery is always near the top of my list.

It’s tucked inside the Grand Village Shops, one of the prettiest little shopping centers in Branson. The whole place was designed to feel like a quaint French village, and it’s the kind of spot where you can easily spend an afternoon wandering from shop to shop.

Sugar Leaf is right in the middle of it all.

One side feels like a cozy café where you can grab breakfast or lunch. The other side is a coffee shop that’s perfect for slowing down with a drink and catching up with a friend.

Here’s What I’d Order

If it’s on the menu, I’m ordering the Chicken & Wild Rice Soup.

I absolutely love it, especially on a chilly or rainy day.

If I’m in the mood for a drink, give me a London Fog, but have them swap the vanilla syrup for caramel.

Trust me.

If it’s winter, you’ll see people lined up for their hot chocolate, and once you try it, you’ll understand why.

And don’t leave without taking a look at the bakery case.

Even though Sugar Leaf has new owners, the baked goods are still made by the same talented bakers people have loved for years.

Before You Go

Sugar Leaf isn’t just somewhere you eat.

It’s part of the whole Grand Village experience.

Spend a little time shopping, stop by the Kringles Christmas Store, wander through the dreamy little bookstore, then grab lunch or a cup of coffee at Sugar Leaf.

If the weather is nice, take your drink out to the patio.

Or do what I do and grab the little corner table by the big windows.

There’s just something relaxing about sitting there with a warm drink and watching people stroll through the village.

This is where you’re going for a girls’ lunch, a coffee date with a friend, or a quiet afternoon when you don’t have anywhere else you need to be.
