The best way I can describe the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour is this:

It’s basically a two-and-a-half-hour field trip to the mall with a stand-up comedian.

And somehow, that works.

I’ve ridden the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour several times now, and every experience has been different.

The last time I rode, Rowdy was the comedian and David was the driver. Rowdy definitely lived up to his name. He had the entire bus laughing, and before long complete strangers were talking, singing, and joking with each other like they’d known each other for years.

One of the things I like most about this tour is that they don’t just drive you around pointing at buildings.

The comedians keep people involved. They interact with passengers, tell stories, and aren’t afraid to poke fun at some of the things Branson is known for. If you’ve ever sat through a timeshare presentation, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll hear a joke or two about it.

The last time I rode, we stopped at an intersection and Rowdy started roasting people walking down the sidewalk.

The reactions from both the bus and the people outside were hilarious.

Because the comedian, the crowd, and the interaction are always different, each bus ride comes with different jokes, different stories, and different crowd interactions.

That’s what makes every ride a one-of-a-kind experience.

This doesn’t feel like you’re on a tour of Branson.

It feels more like you’re at a comedy club with your friends.

You’ve got about 30 minutes to walk around, grab a snack, do a little shopping, or just enjoy being out of your seat for a bit.

Then everybody piles back on the bus and the fun starts all over again.

There are several Branson tours that I usually recommend only if you’ve never been here before.

This isn’t one of them.

Even if you’ve been to Branson a dozen times, I think you’d still have a fantastic time on this bus.

Don’t Overlook the Christmas Tour

If you enjoy the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour during the regular season, you should absolutely come back and do it again during Christmas.

I’ve ridden in both the summer and during the Christmas season, and the Christmas version is worth experiencing for its own reasons.

During the holidays, the tour takes you through one of Branson’s local Christmas light displays.

The lights are beautiful, the bus is full of people having a great time, and it adds a completely different feel to the experience.

One thing to know: Christmas tours tend to sell out quickly.

If you’re planning a Branson Christmas vacation, I wouldn’t wait until the last minute to grab your seats.

Would I do it again?

I already have.

Multiple times.

The more times I’ve ridden this tour, the more I’ve realized the comedian is really the attraction.

The bus just happens to move.

I don’t think most small children would understand or enjoy many of the jokes, but I have taken my teenage nephew and he had a fantastic time.

Is this tour only for first-time visitors to Branson?

No.

This is one of the few Branson tours I regularly recommend even to people who have visited multiple times.

Is the bus heated and air conditioned?

Yes.

I’ve ridden during both winter and summer, and the bus was comfortable each time.

How long do you get at Branson Landing?

The stop at Branson Landing is usually around 30 minutes.

Can you bring food and drinks on the bus?

Yes!

In fact, you’re encouraged to grab snacks, drinks, coffee, or treats while you’re at Branson Landing and bring them back onto the bus.

Do you have to participate?

The comedians definitely involve the crowd and keep everyone engaged, but nobody is forced to participate if they don’t want to.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Probably not.

Guests need to be able to climb the bus steps, and there are multiple stops where passengers get on and off the bus throughout the tour.

Who would enjoy this tour?

In my opinion, just about any adult who enjoys laughing.

I’ve seen couples, groups of friends, families with teenagers, locals, and repeat Branson visitors all have a fantastic time.
