Crazy Craig’s Shipwreck in Kimberling City | A Fun Lake Stop Near Branson

If you’re planning a trip to Branson, Missouri, I really encourage you to look a little beyond the main strip. One area that keeps surprising people is Kimberling City.

Kimberling City has grown a lot over the last few years. What used to feel like a quiet lake town now has a solid lineup of restaurants, bars, and places to hang out, especially if you’re spending time on Table Rock Lake. There are a lot of hidden gems tucked through town, and it’s quickly becoming one of those areas people wish they had explored sooner.

One of the most fun stops in Kimberling City is Crazy Craig’s Shipwreck.

This place sits right off the lake, and the views are fantastic. During the day and earlier evenings, it’s an easy spot to bring kids in for a bite to eat. At night, it turns into a fun hangout for adults with a large bar and live music. The night we were there, the music completely changed the energy of the place and made it one of those spots you end up staying longer than planned.

The food was pretty decent. We had steak and crab legs, and everything came out hot and well prepared. The drinks were exactly what you’d expect if you’ve been to any of Craig’s other places around Branson. Fun, familiar, and consistent.

If the name Craig sounds familiar, that’s because this is the same Craig behind several other popular spots in the Branson area. He also owns Crazy Craig’s Treehouse and Crazy Craig’s Cheeky Monkey, both known for having decent food and a fun environment. Last year, he also bought Beverly’s Sports Bar on the east side of Branson and reopened it as Crazy Craig’s Sports Bar.

One thing all of these places have in common is that they’re smoke free, which makes a big difference if you’re eating with family or just don’t want to deal with that while you’re out.

Crazy Craig’s Shipwreck fits perfectly into what Kimberling City is becoming. A lake town with more going on than people expect. It’s a great option if you’re staying near the lake, coming off the water for dinner, or just want to mix something different into your Branson trip.
