Branson Rumor Alert!

Okay y’all, we need to talk about what’s going on with the Showboat Branson Belle. There are a few different rumors floating around right now, and I’m gonna touch on each one, so stick with me because it just keeps getting better.

The Backstory

We’ve all known for years that the Showboat is part of the Herschend family, the same folks who own Silver Dollar City and Pink Jeep Tours. Earlier this year, Silver Dollar City made it official and it’s now called the Silver Dollar City Showboat.

Now listen, I’m never gonna get that name right. I still call the Dolly Parton Stampede the Dixie Stampede and I probably will till the day I die. So I’m sorry in advance if I call it the Branson Belle forever. Old habits die hard.

What’s Fueling the Rumors

Here’s where it gets interesting. Silver Dollar City is building that brand-new resort, and we keep seeing all this gorgeous concept art come out for it. And what do I spy in the background of one of those images? The Showboat.

Now I’m not saying they’re moving it…

but are they moving it?

Is that why the name changed?

Is that why the boat suddenly showed up in the artwork?

Just for Fun, Not Confirmed News

Now before anybody gets worked up, none of this is confirmed. This is just me being nosy on the internet with the rest of Branson. The folks at Silver Dollar City are wildly creative, and whatever they’re planning is going to be amazing.

And y’all know I love that whole team, so please don’t send me hate mail for this one.

What’s Actually Changing

Here’s what I can confirm. The Showboat show next year is going to look completely different. There are some major changes coming, and I think a lot of people are gonna be really surprised when they see what’s new.

Expansion Talk

What we do know for sure is that Silver Dollar City is expanding. But are they going to be moving the rides? Is White Water going to end up out there? Are they going to build a second resort? Or could it even become the future home of the Pink Jeeps base?

These are all super fun things to talk about, and I don’t mind sharing my thoughts with you as long as we keep it lighthearted, positive, and not too gossipy.
