Best Mexican Food in Branson Missouri

Mexican Food in Branson Missouri

Since we have lost our beloved Flaming Margaritas, a lot of people have been asking where they should go now for their Mexican food fix. The good news is that Branson has plenty of great options. From hidden gems to well loved favorites, here are the Mexican restaurants my followers rave about the most, along with several of my personal go to spots. I am also including their Google ratings so you can see exactly how well these places are loved by locals and visitors.

Delicious Factory – 4.8 Google Rating

Delicious Factory is one of the cutest restaurants on the Branson strip. The décor is bright and inviting, the atmosphere is fun, and the menu is full of Mexican street food. You will find elote, street tacos, snacks, full meals, and a banana crepe that I cannot get enough of. It sits right on the strip, but you could easily drive past it if you did not know it was there.

Little Hacienda – 4.4 Google Rating

If you have followed me for a while, you already know this one. Little Hacienda sits just off the end of the Branson strip and has a stylish and slightly sultry interior. It feels like the kind of place where you settle in and enjoy the whole evening.

I love their carnitas, and their patio is one of my favorite hangout spots during spring and fall. Locals love their half price margarita flights on Friday afternoons. And yes, you can absolutely ask for different flavors on your flight.

Jalapeños – 4.6 Google Rating

Jalapeños is one of those restaurants you can drive right by without noticing, but once you eat there, you understand why people recommend it. The inside is simple, but the food is really good. I absolutely love the Molcajete. My husband went here without me last week and yes, I was salty about it. It is a solid choice right in the middle of the strip.

Maria Bonitas – 4.6 Google Rating

Maria Bonitas is tucked away just south of town near Pointe Royale, Falls Creek, and the Wyndham resorts. It is small and easy to miss, but the food is packed with so much flavor. My favorite dish is the Maria Bonita fajitas. They have bacon in them, need I say more. And if you like margaritas, their coconut margarita is one of the best drinks in the entire Branson area. This one definitely qualifies as a hidden gem.

Las Casitas – 4.8 Google Rating

Las Casitas is another hidden gem and locals absolutely love it. The food looks beautiful and tastes just as good. The staff is warm and friendly and while they do offer some lunch specials, I tend to prefer their larger entrées.

One thing to know. They do not serve alcohol. So if you are looking for a frosty mug or a margarita, you will need to choose a different place. But if you want flavorful plates and generous portions, this one belongs on your list.

Cantina Laredo – 4.3 Google Rating

Cantina Laredo is located on the Branson Landing and feels a little more polished. It is a great pick if you are already spending time at the Landing and want a restaurant with a nice atmosphere and beautiful presentation. It is a reliable choice for date night or a girls night out.

Mezcal – 4.5 Google Rating

Mezcal is a favorite among locals. It is located on the north side of town near Aldi, Target, and Walmart. The menu is full of traditional dishes, the staff is always kind, and they often have great margarita specials. It is one of those places where the food is consistent and comforting.

El Poblano – 4.5 Google Rating

If you are in Hollister, El Poblano is a great option. It is only a couple minutes from downtown Branson and has a wide variety of menu choices along with great margaritas. The staff is fantastic and the food is fresh. Hollister has some wonderful restaurants and this one fits right in.

El Lago – 4.5 Google Rating

El Lago is known for having some of the best cheap eats in Branson. If you are feeding a group or want something budget friendly, this is a perfect fit. Their Taco Tuesday deals are hard to beat. If you consider yourself a foodie with a sophisticated palate, this may not be your place. But if you love a good deal and big portions, you will be happy here.

Final Thoughts

Even though Flaming Margaritas has closed, Branson still has an incredible lineup of Mexican restaurants to choose from. Whether you want fajitas with bacon, street tacos, cheap eats, or a stylish date night spot, this list covers it.
