My Sneak Peek Inside Field of Screams
If you’ve heard of the popular Field of Screams in Nixa, Missouri, this is the same company bringing the scares to Branson!
I went for sneak peek last week and walked through with the lights on because I’m a big freaking scaredy-cat.
You will not get that luxury. You’re getting the full scary effect!
During the summer, you might know this property as Ballparks of America. But the buildings surrounding those ballparks used to be a mall. You can actually peek inside some of the old storefronts and still see spaces that look like stores from 20 years ago.
Tell me that isn’t the perfect setup for a haunted house!
The premise is that you’re walking through a haunted town. You start in the school, head through a clinic and a pizza joint, walk through a cemetery and even go to a funeral.
Lots of creepy fun!
I had such a fun time. They even talked me into getting into a casket! This is WAY out of my comfort zone, and there’s photographic evidence!

Being able to see the sets with the lights on gave me a chance to appreciate the work that went into creating this creepy little town.
If haunted houses are your thing, this is a new one to put on your Branson Halloween list!
From Screams to Christmas
It sounds like this is just the beginning. During the sneak peek, they talked about plans to switch over to a Christmas festival in November!
Their website currently lists a Halloween/Christmas crossover for November 6–7 and 13–14. I’ll share more about the Christmas plans as details come out.
