McKenna Family Farm Pumpkin Patch Near Branson, Missouri

If you’re looking for a real pumpkin patch near Branson, Missouri, McKenna Family Farm is pretty much it.

And I think part of what makes this place so precious is that it was never really meant to be a big Branson attraction.

This is truly just a family farm that sold great produce and, somewhere along the way, became a local fall tradition.

It’s simple. It’s not fancy. It’s not flashy. And that’s exactly what I love about it!

Every fall, usually from around the end of September through the beginning of November, families head out to McKenna for pumpkins, the hayride, all the little farm activities and, of course, those fall family pictures.

What McKenna Family Farm Is Really Like

This is where I think you need to set your expectations before you go.

Don’t come expecting Silver Dollar City or one of the bigger fall festivals around Branson.

McKenna is a farm.

They have jumping pillows, mazes, slides, a corn box, duck races, Tire Mountain and plenty of simple things for the kids to do. They also have their Spook-tacular Hayride that takes you back through the woods.

But I think the simplicity is the whole charm of this place.

Let the kids run around. Pick out some pumpkins. Take some pictures. Buy some produce. It’s an easy fall afternoon without feeling like you need an itinerary to get through it.

Yes, This Is an Actual Pumpkin Patch!

Branson has a LOT going on during the fall, but when people ask me where they can go to an actual pumpkin patch, McKenna Family Farm is pretty much the place I send them.

This isn’t a pumpkin display that gets brought in for a fall festival. You’re going to an actual family farm.

Come out, let the kids play, do the hayride, take some pictures and pick out your pumpkins!

And here’s something that’s good to know: you don’t have to pay admission to the activity area just to stop by and shop for pumpkins or produce.

Don’t Leave Without Looking at the Mums

McKenna has always had great produce, but I especially love stopping by during the fall.

Sometimes they have really yummy baked goods too.

And the mums are beautiful!

So even if you don’t have little kids and couldn’t care less about jumping pillows and mazes, it’s still worth stopping by. Grab some produce, look at the pumpkins and don’t be surprised if you leave with a mum or two.

Take the Family Pictures!

I love the little truck and tractors they have sitting outside. They make the cutest spots for family pictures, especially in the fall!

Nothing elaborate. Just grab the kids and take the picture.

Yes, you can actually get married at McKenna Family Farm!

It’s the cutest little country chapel sitting right there on the farm, and it fits this place perfectly.

Make McKenna Part of a Fall Day Near Branson

I wouldn’t necessarily plan an entire day around McKenna Family Farm.

That’s actually part of why I like it.

Go out for a couple of hours, let the kids play, do the hayride, get your pumpkins and take your pictures. Then you still have plenty of time to grab something to eat or head to another fall activity.
